Muriel Colquhoun has been involved in equestrian activities for longer than she cares to remember. She was one of the founding members of the Scottish Equestrian Association, the governing body for equestrian sport in Scotland. Muriel still competes regularly in the equestrian disciplines of eventing, dressage and show jumping. In 2004 she was awarded the MBE for her outstanding contribution to equestrianism in Scotland.
She has developed ShoeSecure™, a made in Scotland product, from her background of experience in the field of equestrian sport to resolve the every-day annoyance, expense and inconvenience which horseshoe loss causes for horse owners. Muriel has ample experience of the inconvenience of this problem thanks to her active horse Banjo and their residence on the picturesque but often soggy slopes of Langbank overlooking the Firth of Clyde.
